About the Role This position is responsible for providing technical support and assistance in the completion of maintenance, repairs, and new installations for all the facility's electrical distribution systems, which are the responsibility of the maintenance department. Position Responsibilities New Installation or system modification for all the facility's building, equipment and mechanical systems. Preventive maintenance to keep the equipment in good working condition by following the SOP's. Perform duties as needed for emergency and corrective repairs. Performs general maintenance duties throughout the facility. Maintain documentation of all maintenance activities. Performs other duties as assigned or requested. Job Specifications Core Competencies Communication Continuous Learning Customer Service Orientation Decision Making Integrity Strategic Thinking Teamwork Functional Competencies Compliance Planning and Organization Troubleshooting and Problem Solving Minimum Education Associates Degree and/or Vocational/ Specialized Training. Minnesota license for Master Electrician. Minimum Experience 5 - 7 years working in Electrical trade. Commercial Applications experience preferred. Minimum Field of Expertise Ability to read, comprehend and apply written and verbal instructions accurately. Attention to detail. Basic understanding of pharmaceutical equipment and ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision . Physical Demands Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling over. Carrying: transporting an object, usually by hand, arm, or shoulder. Climbing: ascending or descending objects usually with hands/feet. Crawling: moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet. Crouching: bending body downward and forward by bending legs. Eye/hand/foot coordination: performing work through using two or more. Feeling: perceiving attributes of objects by means of skin receptors. Fingering: picking, pinching, or otherwise working with fingers. Handling: seizing, holding, grasping, or otherwise working with hand(s). Hearing: perceiving the nature of sounds by the ear. Kneeling: bending legs to come to rest on one or both knees. Lifting: raising or lowering an object from one level to another. Pulling: exerting force on an object so that it is moving to the person Pushing: exerting force upon an object so that the object is away. Reaching: extending the hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Standing: remaining on one's feet in an upright position. Stooping: bending the body by bending spine at the waist. Talking: expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken words. Walking: moving about on foot. Preferred Field of Expertise Experience working with Pharmaceutical processing equipment. Protective Clothing Ability to wear personal protective clothing/equipment and hearing protection where required. Supervised: Level No supervisory responsibility Vision Requirements Near Acuity: the ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less. Working Conditions Confined spaces, elevated work platforms, ladders, mechanical areas, and roofs. Manufacturing, Processing, Packaging and mechanical areas. Outdoor work.
