Your Role and Responsibilities Caregivers of children in Mississippi state custody are entrusted with a multifaceted role that encompasses ensuring the child's safety, providing emotional support, and fostering educational growth. They must navigate state regulations, collaborate with child welfare professionals, and respect the child's cultural and personal identity. Additionally, caregivers support the child through transitions, advocate for their needs, and contribute to their overall well-being, all while maintaining confidentiality and preparing them for future changes. This role is pivotal in offering a stable, caring environment for children during critical times. Requirements and Skills To thrive in this role, you should possess a High School diploma or GED, and if applicable, a State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification. Current CPR Certification is essential, along with basic computer skills. Independence and the ability to think on your feet while maintaining clear and efficient communication are crucial. Your excellent oral communication skills when interacting with fellow healthcare professionals in the presence of patients will be invaluable. You should also be capable of remaining composed and professional in high-pressure situations within a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. Compensation and Benefits We value your dedication and expertise, and we offer competitive compensation to reflect that. CNAs can expect to earn $14-15/hr. Our non-certified caregivers can earn between $13-14/hour.
