Primary Responsibilities: 1. Lead children and their families to follow Jesus. 2. Invite, train and empower volunteers to provide leadership within the childrens ministry. 3. Maintain a monthly leaders/team-players(volunteers) schedule that is sent to volunteers at least three weeks in advance. 4. Communicate weekly and meet monthly with Childrens Ministry leaders/team-players(volunteers) in order to build ownership and equip them to lead other volunteers. 5. Follow up with people that are interested in leading/volunteering with childrens ministry. 6. Lead creative team meetings with the appropriate people in order to implement the curriculum on Sunday mornings. 7. Create systems and events to thank and appreciate childrens ministry leaders/team-players(volunteers). 8. Recognize first-time guests by sending a gift to the home of each family. 9. Oversee communication between the church, children and families. 10. Provide resources for parents and families as needed. 11. Stay in touch with other vibrant childrens ministries around the country. 12. Adapt and prepare curriculum for children ages 2 through 5th grades. 13. Oversee the setup and operation of all related childrens ministry environments on Sunday morning, including check-in, individual childrens environments, security, check out, setup and tear down. 14. Oversee the Childrens Ministry budget, and plan select special events as needed. 15. Participate in staff meetings and other meetings as scheduled. 16. Create a childrens ministry brand within The Awakening Church, including a name, theme, dcor, graphics, website, etc. Personal Responsibilities 1. Maintain God ordained priorities in your life by putting Jesus Christ first, your spouse second, your children third and the ministry fourth. 2. Give at least 10% of your income to the vision of The Awakening Church. 3. Be loyal to the vision and staff of The Awakening Church and always protect the unity of the church. 4. Invest and invite the lost to know Jesus and come to The Awakening Church. 5. Continue to grow in your capacity to produce with ability to multi-task and value the importance of organization and details. 6. Maintain strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain healthy and motivating relationships with staff, coworkers, and volunteers. 7.
