Senior Penetration Tester
Description:
Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Penetration Tester to join our cybersecurity team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of our computer systems, networks, and web applications to identify potential security risks. They will simulate cyber attacks to test existing security protocols and work closely with our security team to develop strategies for mitigating risks. Responsibilities: Conduct penetration tests on computer systems, networks, and web applications to find vulnerabilities that an attacker could exploit. Document and report the results of penetration tests, including describing the findings and the methods used to test the systems. Provide actionable recommendations and work with the security team to prioritize and remediate identified vulnerabilities. Stay abreast of new testing tools and methodologies, as well as the latest threats and vulnerabilities. Develop automated scripts to assist in identifying and exploiting security vulnerabilities. Collaborate with IT and development teams to enhance the security posture of internal and external applications. Conduct security assessments of third-party vendors and partners. Participate in security audits and compliance assessments, as required. Assist in the development and delivery of security awareness training for employees. Engage in red team/blue team exercises to test organizational readiness against cyber attacks. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CEH, GPEN, or equivalent are strongly preferred. Proven work experience as a Penetration Tester or similar cybersecurity role. Strong understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols. Familiarity with web application vulnerabilities and attack methods. Experience with penetration testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, etc.). Knowledge of network and web-related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Soft Skills Clear communicator (written and verbal). Creative troubleshooting of technical problems. Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables. Ability to think outside the box.
