You will compile data from multiple sources, analyze it, determine any gaps, strategize on ways to get data that's not readily available and advise program managers and leadership on ways to improve transportation safety. A day in the life: Develop research methodologies, procedures and forms to ensure that data is collected, meets the needs of the program and leads to data driven decision making to improve the safety of Oregon's highways and roads.Lead the analysis, monitoring and reporting of the TSO's individual safety program performance measures.Manage and coordinate data input, retrieval and analysis of traffic safety information.Analyze all researched, designed and collected data and design reporting methods using available software reporting tools.Act as the project manager for the development of required federal and state safety plans and reports.Conduct research and create and design periodic agency safety programs' data reports and instruct the TSO program managers regarding content needs and decisions.Organize, summarize and present information, conclusions, and recommendations to various individuals and groups.Develop and manage working agreements, coordination agreements and implementation of inter-agency agreements to carry out projects.Ensure all contracts, grants and agreements related to data collection comply with all grant funding requirements, standards and procedures.Work in a standard office environment with hybrid work options available. Minimum qualifications: Four years of research experience using computerized applications to independently gather, compile, and analyze data and prepare narrative or statistical reports; OR A bachelor's degree in any discipline that included six-quarter units in statistics or quantitative analysis methods and procedures, and one year experience using computerized applications to independently gather, compile, and analyze data and prepare narrative or statistical reports. Special qualifications: Driving is an essential function of this position. You must have a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record.
