Somafina LLC is looking for a accounting professional with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Applicant must have excellent technology skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office. Quick Books and Fishbowl are a plus. Responsibilities: · Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.· Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.· Support the Controller in managing the general ledger and month-end close process.· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.· Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during financial audits.· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.· Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.· Review and ensure the correct posting of entries by other staff members.· Provide support for special projects as assigned.· Assist in the guidance and training of staff. Education Requirements :· Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; with at least 2 years related quality experience in a financial environment.· CPA/CMA Competencies/skill Qualifications:· Advanced understanding of financial and accounting principles.· Excellent written communication, interpersonal, organizational and project management skills.· Prior manufacturing environments a plus.· English Proficiency required. Physical Requirements :· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; converse and listen; taste or smell. This is an in-person position.
