Position Summary As Senior Engineering Project manager, your primary responsibility will be to manage multiple new building commissioning, energy efficiency, and retro-commissioning projects simultaneously. You will oversee all aspects of projects including technical work, scheduling, budget management and client relationship management including sales of new work. You will be responsible for setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring the progress of each project, and preparing reports for upper management regarding project status. You will adhere to the highest levels of customer service as you will be the client's main point-of-contact through every step of the process, from initial contact, through evaluation and installation, to ongoing maintenance. Key Responsibilities Project manage the delivering of energy and commissioning related services to end-user customers, including: Project management of commissioning, energy consulting, and/or engineering projects. Oversee all aspects of a project including scope, schedule, budget, and quality. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of projects. Coordinate and lead project meetings with the client. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project. Generate proposals and work on multiple or complex projects. Manage complex and diverse teams to complete the contracted work. Consulting project management experience in Energy Efficiency. Commissioning & Retro-Commissioning experience. Conduct capacity planning. Compile related reports and data sheets as required. Conduct or assist with the development of project deliverables, including organizing and writing reports, drafting prefunctional and functional performance tests, writing Cx and M&V plans and other Cx documentation, developing SOOs. Provide QC of the final deliverables that will be sent to customer to ensure quality and contractual compliance. Conduct site assessments to review systems and collect data from facilities. Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the project management processes. Develop new analytical tools and deliver advanced technical training. Ensure timely delivery of reports and other deliverables. Manage whole building energy modeling by engineers. Manage and participate in prefunctional and functional performance tests. Present results to customers and act as the main conduit for customer feedback and suggestions. Lead project teams consisting of internal staff and sub-consultants. Train and mentor junior staff. Client Management of existing clients. Networking and sales of company services to existing and new clients. Perform other duties as assigned. Core Skills Excellent project management skills. Thorough understanding of building systems, energy efficiency and HVAC. Ability to oversee financial matters. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated client facing experience. Consistently able to lead customer meetings. Strong ability to present details and communicate project results. Ability to thrive in a strong team environment. Required Qualifications/Skills/Education PE license, desired. Background and prior experience in the energy sector. 6+ years of practical experience in building commissioning, HVAC, energy, and/or controls. BS/MS in technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental or equivalent engineering fields). New building commissioning certification (BCxP, CxAP, or equivalent) desired.
