Seeking a physician to provide care to patients at a correctional facility in Fluvanna County, VA. The physician will provide general medical services including examinations & treatment to the inmate population.Job Quick Facts: --- Ref#: BD-353-20 --- Specialty: General/Family/Internal Medicine --- Location: Troy, VA --- Facility Type: Correctional Facility --- Job Type: Contract --- Coverage Type: Clinical, Infirmary --- Schedule: Mon-Fri; 7:45a-4:45pDuties/Responsibilities: --- Examine, diagnose, treat, counsel and prescribe medications for patients as needed. --- Provide physical examinations and other general services --- Record a summary in each patient's medical chart after each consultation. --- Make referrals to medical or clinical specialists when necessary. --- Responsible for providing accurate prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. --- Responsible for the improvement in patient health and quality of life. --- Independently resolves daily medical issues. --- Ensure guidance is received on policy or exceptional situations. --- May provide medical supervision to other clinical staff.
