Job Description We are partnered up with an independent, family-owned Construction equipment rental company seeking a Traveling Field Mechanic with at least 3 years of experience to join our dedicated team. If you are passionate about working with heavy equipment and providing top-tier mechanical expertise, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for! Position Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled Traveling Field Mechanic. In this role, you will work responsibility will be to ensure the efficient maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our heavy equipment fleet, including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and more. **THE MECHANIC NEEDS TO BE WILLING TO TRAVEL A LOT BETWEEN THEIR DIFFERENT SHOPS DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS** Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair a wide range of heavy equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance. Collaborate with the maintenance team to plan and prioritize equipment servicing and repair tasks. Troubleshoot complex issues and provide effective solutions to minimize downtime. Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance and repairs. Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment. Qualifications: Prior education, certification, or experience in Diesel Mechanics or related field. A current and valid driver's license with reliable transportation to and from Company shop in Salt Lake City. Commitment to adhering to standards of the Company Code of Conduct. Preferred: Class A CDL A High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in construction and/or road maintenance Ability to work on Diesel truck, engines, hydraulics, electrical Diesel Mechanic certificate and/or other certificates in related field.
