Description Facility: Medical Center of the Rockies (Loveland, CO) Department: MCR Operating Room - Cardiovascular - Full Time (1.0 FTE)- FlexThe Heart Team at Medical Center of the Rockies delivers world-class care to patients who need highly skilled, cutting-edge surgical treatment. Expert surgeons team with our well-trained cardiac surgery professionals including PAs, First Assists, RNs, CSTs, and Perfusionists. From minimally invasive to open-heart and catheter procedures, our team has performed more than 15,000 heart surgeries. Our team has performed twice as many heart surgeries as any hospital in Northern Colorado. MCR consistently runs 2 cardiac surgery rooms simultaneously while assisting in TAVR procedures and functioning in our new Hybrid suite.Just 45 minutes from Denver, 30 minutes from Estes Park, and bordering Rocky Mountain National Park and Roosevelt National Forest, Loveland has it all. Summary: Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. Responsibilities: Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies. Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients. Passes instruments to physician during surgery. Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery. Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. Requirements: Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED or Military trained. Required Licensure/Certification: State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. Minimum Experience: 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program. Are you a RN New Grad?
