Summary The University of Michigan's College of Literature, Science, and the Arts is hiring a motivated and driven Intermediate Project Manager to join a diverse team of professionals dedicated to the successful oversight and success of cross-organizational projects. As the leader of your project team, your mission will involve mapping out tasks, timelines, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Required Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience. 3-5 years of project management experience to include responsibilities requiring confidentiality, timeliness, customer service, organization, prioritization, troubleshooting, and working independently. Experience in the information technology industry demonstrating technical or business expertise, and resolution of complex technical or business issues. Proven ability to lead project teams to meet customer expectations. Demonstrated understanding of and skills in client relationship management, systems analysis, team building, process improvement, and strategic planning. Demonstrated ability to organize and work effectively in a matrix organization with cross-functional project teams and manage multiple projects. Demonstrated proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Demonstrated attention to detail and proofreading skills. Demonstrated ability to learn new software quickly and to understand technical information and communicate it to others using clear, concise, and user-friendly language. Desired Qualifications* Experience with Waterfall and/or Agile project management Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Hardware/software implementation project experience Cloud/Software as a Service (SaaS) project experience Experience in Higher Education or Government Work Schedule We will not work you to tears, burn you out, or make you choose between work and important family events. Our goal is for you to maintain a healthy relationship between life and work. Most of our team works 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday. Our team does not typically work late, work weekends, or have to come in early.Currently, this position offers a primarily remote work schedule. However, there will be times where spending time on the Ann Arbor campus will be necessary, based on organizational and College needs. Flexible work agreements are reviewed on a yearly basis.
