Job Title: Multimedia Picture Illustrator Salary: $22.50 hourly for 30 - 40 hours per week (Overtime applicable after 40 hours a week) Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-Time, Part Time Number of positions: 2 Job requirements Languages English Minimum Education High School education Experience1-2 years of relevant experience is required. Specific Skills• Adapt existing photographic images and create new digitized images to be included in multimedia/new media products• Determine picture composition, make technical adjustments to equipment and photograph subject • Operate computers and software while implementing the photographic techniques to manipulate photographic images• Operate scanners to transfer photographic images to computers and make them accessible by the clients • Use airbrush, computer or other techniques to retouch photographs and the signs and designs requested by the clients • Participate in design briefs with clients, editors and illustrators to identify their needs• Define time and budget limitations • Brainstorm with the design team to come up with new ideas, patterns and styles• Stay up-to-date with new design techniques and software Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, attention to detail Personal suitability: Ability to multitask, flexibility, reliability, organized, team player Photographic Techniques: Black and white, Colour, Digital Photo imaging, Macrophotography, Microphotography, Photo restoration, Photogrammetry, Photo-macrography, Computer graphic imagery system, Adobe Photoshop Other: Candidate must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
