ENS Poultry Inc was founded in 1992. The company's line of business includes operating farms that producer broiler, fryer, and roaster chickens. We are seeking line workers in our poultry slaughter plant. We are currently seeking to hire 4 Poultry workers – meat packing plant Benefit: 2 weeks annual vacation Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible Location: 6424 Eighth Line W, Elora, N0B 1S0 Details of this position: • Monday to Friday, with optional over-time• Permanent, Full time• $20/hour • Housing available Requirements of this position: • Work on a production line, packaging meat products as directed by Lead Hand• Unloading and Hanging live poultry onto production line; • cold refrigerated processed meat handling; • Loading and reloading crates carrying livestock, Lifting 75Lbs; • Evisceration of poultry; remove inedible parts; remove feathers and singe and wash poultry to prepare for further processing or packaging; • remove guts operated vacuum Gun for fine evisceration; • manual hand skinning of chicken and deboning chicken; • remove any excess fat, bruises or other blemishes from poultry• Follow Health and Safety Guidelines as established to maintain a safe work environment; such as shoveling feathers, guts, blood; • Perform assigned duties and advise Lead Hand of any production or quality issues as they arise• Adhere to all other food safety practices as established to ensure safe, quality products are manufactured• Able to follow regular daily routines. Also, able to work without direct supervision when tasks have been thoroughly defined• Packing, sorting, or placing of raw products• Preparing packing materials, assemble cardboard boxes and lids; • Perform any other task assigned and necessary on the farm by the Lead hand; What will you need? • experience with handling a knife for skinning of chicken or evisceration is preferred; • experience with power lift truck an asset; • Work under pressure; Repetitive tasks; • Handling heavy loads.
