Employer Information Company name: B D S Siding Ltd. Business Address: 14110 79 Avenue, Surrey, BC, V3W 6J6 Position Description Position: Plumber Type of employment: Full-Time, Permanent No of positions: 2Salary: $29.00 per hour Overtime and Vacation Pay Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible. Work Location: Various job sites in Surrey (BC) and other areas of Lower Mainland (BC). Job Responsibilities: • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems. • Prepare cost estimations for required plumbing work. • Install, fix, and maintain domestic or commercial plumbing fittings and systems. • Identify and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fittings in walls and floors. • Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings with attention to existing infrastructure. • Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines. • Check pipes for leakages using air and water pressure tools. • Troubleshoot and fix issues related to water supply lines (e. g. broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc. )• Communicate with co-workers and other tradesmen. Education, Skills & Experience required: • Completion of Secondary School• Completion of apprenticeship program OR minimum 3 years of work experience in the relevant trade. • Ability to communicate in English.
