Business Line: Global Finance - Financial Accounting, Reconciliation and Regulatory Accounting Job Purpose: Supporting inter-company reconciliation and review. This entails complex data analysis and methodical data-mining. Incumbent prepares monthly reconciliation report for management review. Accurate and effective identification and resolution of account discrepancies; consistent and comprehensive recording of actions taken; effective liaison with account owners and the escalation of complex variances to comply with SOX controls. Expected to take a lead role in answering queries and providing supporting documentation to audit, providing reporting and analytical support (EGL, OBI, Essbase Smartview ). Work on ad-hoc projects as assigned. Is this role right for you? In this role, you will: Reconcile and monitor inter company transactions between transits within BNS to ensure the amount offset in the consolidated Bank Perform reasonability and variance analyses to identify balances that require follow-up and investigation. Provide guidance and instructions to account owners to ensure timely reconciliation with counter party Participate in assigned projects within team. Support Specialized Accounting’s operations. This includes ad hoc assignments as well as involvement in month-ends and quarter-ends financial reporting activities.
