Job Title : Veterinary Technician/Laboratory Technician Job NOC : 3213 Company Name : Malwa Enterprises DBA Cypress St. Animal Hospital Company Address : 1889 Cornwall Avenue, Vancouver, British Columbia, V6J 1C7 Number of Vacancies : 2 Wage Rate : $25.50/hr Over Time Wage Rate : $38.25/hr Anticipated Start Date : As soon as possible Terms of Employment : 1 Full Time Permanent position Languages : English Education & Requirements: Completion of 2-3 years college program in animal health/veterinary technology is required; And Registration with ‘Provincial animal health technologists' or veterinary technicians' associations is Assets. Benefits: • As per employment standards Act• 10 days paid vacations• Over time after 40 hours Job Duties: • Able to provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals• Produce radiographs and collect samples as required. • Perform laboratory tests to assist in diagnosis of animal health problems• Assist veterinarian with animals before, during and following surgery by preparing surgical equipment, administering and by cleaning up after surgery• Prepare medications and vaccines under direction of a veterinarian• Provide bandage care and may require hoof trimming for animals. • Educate and advise clients on animal health care including nutrition and home care• Perform routine animal dental procedures and assist veterinarians with animal dentistry Apply by email only at xyz X@.
