Competition # Posting End Date: August 17, 2023 City: Winnipeg Work Location: Victoria General Hospital Department: Outpatient Clinic Services Program Union: MNU Hiring Status: Term Reason for Term: Maternity / Parental Leave Anticipated Start and End Date: ASAP - September 1, 2024 (may expire with 2 weeks' notice) FTE: 0.7 Anticipated Shift: days/modified days Daily Hours Worked: 7.75 Annual Base Hours: 2015 Salary: $39.233, $40.604, $41.977, $43.407, $44.809, $46.260, $47.185, $48.129 Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Unit Manager, in compliance with CRNM & CANO Standards of Nursing Practice, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the nursing care of patients receiving medical backssment, treatment or follow-up at Cancer Care Manitoba. The Registered Nurse backsses patients’ and families’ physical, psychosocial and spiritual responses to the disease process and/or treatment and provides nursing interventions that include physical care to manage disease and treat-ment related symptoms, psychosocial support and education to encourage active participation in decision making and self-care. The Registered Nurse works in a team environment to foster an atmosphere of respect and caring. Qualifications: Required: Level of Formal Education & Experience Diploma in Nursing, Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred CON(C) preferred Must have a minimum of three years related experiences (specific recent experience may be required in designated areas) An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. .
