E ach year, volunteers provide their invaluable time, skills and talents in the volunteer programs offered at Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll (AHI). AHI volunteers enhance the experience for our patients, families, visitors, staff and physicians. Their compassion and commitment to helping others has a direct impact on the patient experience and quality of service that we deliver. Is volunteering at AHI right for me? There are many different roles across the hospital! Volunteers assist with meal tray delivery, visit with inpatients, act as liaison between staff and families in waiting rooms, assist patients and visitors with directions, help run the Gift Shop, offer clerical assistance and more. There are also opportunities to provide strategic direction and governance leadership as a volunteer member on the Board of Directors. Did you know that AHI also has a Volunteen Program? Alexandra Hospital Ingersoll welcomes student's aged 14 to 19 through area high schools to become " Volunteens" Duties may include: Tray service ~ meal assistance ~ friendly visiting with patients ~ directing visitors and patients ~ escorting visitors and family ~ clerical tasks.
