Drywall Installer Splendor Constructions Ltd F/T Drywall Installers required for Splendor Constructions Ltd. located at 1601 Traut Rd Kelowna BC Canada V1P 1E6Position: Drywall Installer (Permanent/Full Time)No of Vacancies: 2 Positions Company Description Splendor Constructions Ltd. a residential and commercial construction company. We are looking for a passionate and hardworking person for Drywall Installer position. As a Drywall Installer your job description would be as follows: • Install and finish drywall sheets. • Measure, cut and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings. • Trim rough edges from wallboard to maintain even joints, using knife. • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists. • Fit and fasten wallboard or sheetrock into specified position, using hand tools, portable power tools, or adhesive. • Measure and mark cutting lines on framing, drywall, and trim, using tape measure, straightedge or square, and marking devices. • Install blanket insulation between studs and tacks plastic moisture barrier over insulation. • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife. • Remove plaster, drywall, or paneling, using crowbar and hammer. • Assemble and install metal framing and decorative trim for windows, doorways, and vents etc. Education: Completion of secondary school required Essential Skills: Able to work in fast paced environment, be physically able to handle heavy equipment Language Requirements: Must be able to communicate in English Salary: $27.50 hourly for 40 hourinteractionperience: 2-3 years of experience in commercial or residential projects Job Location: Depending upon contracts.
