Position Title: Shuttle Driver - Night Shift - 2 Positions Location: 1150 Stevenson Rd. S. Oshawa, ONShift: 10:30PM to 6:30AM, expect overtime, weekends and holidays Status: Full time Permanent Pay: $19.89 per hour, increase to $20.29 per hour effective August 30, 2023 ( based on a start date prior to August 30, 2023 )Incentive Pay: Eligible for Piece Work Rate earnings Benefits: Includes Health, Dental, Life, AD&D and Disability Insurance Registered Retirement Plan (RPP) 4% company match Summary of Position: Shuttle Drivers are responsible for inspecting and shuttling customers finished product (Chevrolet Silverado) within the General Motors (GM) compound, warehousing yards, rail area, or to an offsite up-fitter, in a safe and efficient manner. As well, you may be required to transport Shuttle Drivers from designated pick-up zones to the GM compound or other destinations as a Van Driver. Essential Functions, Duties and Tasks: Enter a shuttle van and be taken to, or walk to a customer vehicle Inspect vehicle for potential damage and verify presence of accessories listed on invoice Drive the vehicle from the plant to its destination Scan barcode which informs driver of where to park the vehicle Park the vehicle in designated location Ensure all accessories are turned off and place keys in the cupholder Exit the vehicle Repeat above for duration of shift Ensure yard quality standards are maintained Perform other duties as assigned Working Conditions: Working outside (driving, walking) in all types of weather including extreme weather conditions. Work at a fast pace, getting in and out of vehicles. Knowledge, Skill and Abilities Required: Exhibit behaviour and conduct that fosters a positive work atmosphere Ability to interact with others effectively and communicate diplomatically Ability to read, write and interpret documents (e. g. locations cards, work orders, vehicle identification numbers) Ability to effectively react to change and work.
