Position: Warehouse supervisor Job Location: 625 Hillside Ave suite #2 Victoria, British Columbia V8T 1Z1Number of Positions: 1Salary: $28.90 / hour Employment groups: Youth, Veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces, Visible minorities, Indigenous people, Newcomers to Canada Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time 32 to 40 hours / week Language: English Start date: As soon as possible. Employment conditions: Morning, Early Morning, Day, Evening, Night Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Supervision- 1-2, 5 to 10 people. Responsibilities: • Set up work schedules and procedures. • Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments• Prepare and submit reports. • Ensure smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery. • Arrange for maintenance and repair work. • Resolve work related problems. • Recruit and hire staff. • Train workers in duties and policies• Arrange training for staff. • Conduct performance reviews. • Co-ordinate, assign and review work. • Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies• Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization. Work setting: Private sector, Urban area Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, attention to detail.
