Language : English 40 hours per week / 8 hours per day Job Description: Operators will be responsible for ensuring that dispatched deliveries are completed on time and in a safe and efficient manner. They will also be responsible for ensuring that the appropriate paperwork is completed and returned to the office, as well as maintaining truck maintenance. Responsibilities: • Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations• Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle• Perform preventive maintenance• Receive and relay information to central dispatch• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo• Load and unload goods with the high up cranes• Perform brake adjustments• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo Credentials Certificates, Licences, memberships and courses• Air Brakes Endorsement• Driver’s License (Class 1 or A or equivalent)• Crane safety Certificate (Folding Boom 10 ton & under) Security and safety Driver’s validity license check Driving record check (abstract) Type of trucking and equipment Hiab truck with crane Folding Boom 10 ton & under.
