Our well-established client is a manufacturer of products for the leisure industry..CAD Technician We are currently partnering with a global manufacturer based in the Dorset. Our well-established client is a manufacturer of products for the leisure industry. They are proudly now one of the worlds leading manufacturers of rigging, suspension and lifting equipment for film/TV, theatre, and concert halls, operating theatres, and other industries. An exciting business to be part of, out client is now looking for a full time CAD Technician to joint their friendly team. You will report into one of the Senior Directors who is responsible for the Product, Product Design, workshop, and Machinery teams. Key Responsibilities as CAD Technician - You will be responsible for maintaining and keeping up to date their current drawings approx. 4000 via change notes. - You will be required to model and produce drawings of existing products. - Responsibility for writing all relevant user manuals for products. - Able to design new products as and when required. - Capable of designing multiple variations of sheet metal boxes, as per customer requirement. - Sending files for subcontract manufacturing - Confidently able to create accurate costings. Experience as CAD Technician - Experience of using Solid works is critical. At least a few years proven experience and a sound confident knowledge of its workings. - Solid works PDM would be a clear advantage. - You ideally will understand standard materials and CNC manufacturing. Coming from a manufacturing background - Any manual experience withing fabricating or machining would be an advantage. Benefits for CAD Technician - £33k rising to £35k after a 3-month probationary period. - Company pension - 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays - 40-hour week.
