As part of the ONxpress consortium, Alstom is proudly working to transform the collective mobility of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas (GTHA) through the On-Corridor Works project, and we are hiring for hundreds of roles. The GO Expansion scope : new electric locomotives, fleet upgrades, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications and digital systems, maintenance, and much more. Alstom is seeking a Power Supply (POS) Designer. This individual will be responsible to establish and review basic and detailed design documents for the project. Responsibilities Technical Interface Management with internal and external stakeholders Technical management of suppliers and subcontractors Responsible for on-time Design submission by their operational team (if applicable) Sign-off POS design documents delivered Provide support on POwer Supply (POS) topics to System Engineering team Provide support on POS perimeter to Installation teams during Construction and T&C Respect of Engineering Management Plan and Design Quality Plan POS global performances Requirement development, coming from reference and applicable documents from Metiers, Standards, Certification, Safety, Platform and Customer, and for transverse requirement allocations to the various subsystems in close collaboration with the relevant specialists Respect of normative references and local standards rules Integration of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety (RAMS) requirements Functional analysis and specification Support definition of the global POS System architecture as per the external/internal requirements Support definition of HV and LV Electrical design, SCADA + Protections design and Installation design Consistency and compatibility between all the sub-systems.
