Job details-Location: Bolton, ONSalary: $26.50 hourly for 40 hours per 40 to 44 hours per week Terms of employment: Permanent employment Full time, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, Flexible Hours, Early Morning Start date: Starts as soon as possiblevacancies: 5 vacancies Verified Source: Job Bank #2334761 Overview-Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience Experience: Will train Responsibilities & Tasks: Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy Drive lighter, special purpose trucks Load and unload goods Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment Perform brake adjustments Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle Perform preventive maintenance Receive and relay information to central dispatch Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo Transport and handle dangerous goods Credentials: Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses AZ class license Air Brakes Endorsement Experience and specialization: Documentation knowledge Accident or incident reports Bill of lading Dangerous goods occurrence reports Driver logbook Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)Maintenance and repair reports Trans-border documentation Trip reports Transportation/travel experience International Long-haul National Additional information: Work conditions and physical capabilities Attention to detail Handling heavy loads Large workload Overtime required Physically demanding Repetitive tasks Sitting Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills Flexibility Judgement Organized Reliability Team.
