Explosives Technician, Engineer, Technician, Explosives, mining, quarrying, Blasting Explosives Technician Location: Alfreton, Derbyshire Salary: £22.5K - £27.5K + Excellent Benefits Our client, a dynamic and innovative industry leader in construction & engineering sector, is seeking an Explosives Technician to contribute to their business growth. You will play a vital role in supporting the deployment, calibration, and servicing of machinery and equipment. Responsibilities: Conduct backssments, calibrations, and repairs on Engineering / Metrics assets. Manage equipment and customer databases. Handle internal and external communications and shipping related to Engineering / Metrics assets. Provide in-field support for Engineering hardware assets. Maintain a high standard of safety and best practices in all activities. Execute in-field Engineering tasks, including drone flights and seismograph installations. Generate reports on asset locations and conditions. Ensure accurate commercial information for invoicing. Requirements: Previous experience in a similiar role. Demonstrate a proven interest and prior experience with handheld equipment. Hold a VQ Level 3 / A Level qualification in relevant science or engineering disciplines. Possess specialist training including Shotfiring and Explosives Supervision Certificates. Proficient in computer software packages and database utilisation.
