Summary Job Title: Director, Environment & ESG Reporting Location: Tumbler Ridge, BCSchedule / Terms of Employment: This is a full time (40 hours/week), permanent position. Primary Purpose The Director of the Environment is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing and driving Conuma's environmental initiatives. Reporting directly to the VP, Regulatory Strategy, Innovation and Environment, the Director will provide strategic guidance, ensure compliance with environmental regulations, and lead the development and implementation of environmental programs and initiatives at the mine sites. Responsibilities Develop and execute the company's environmental strategy, in alignment with business objectives and sustainability goals. Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of environmental programs, including air quality, water management, waste management, and land rehabilitation. Ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations and standards, and proactively identify and address potential risks and opportunities. Establish and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies, community stakeholders, and industry associations. Oversee the collection and analysis of environmental data and prepare accurate and timely reports for internal and external stakeholders. Foster a culture of environmental stewardship and sustainability throughout the organization. Provide guidance and support to site-level environmental teams, ensuring consistent implementation of best practices and sharing of lessons learned. Stay informed about emerging environmental trends, regulations, and reporting standards, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement. Manage the department budget, resources, and staffing requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental considerations into business processes and decision-making.
