Subsidiary: Miller Paving Limited Locations: Whitby, Pickering, Ajax, Bowmanville, Newcastle, & Clarington ON As a Plow Operator, You Will: The safe and efficient operation of the spreader, plow wing, combo unit or tow to perform the clearing of local roads as per the contract requirements Maintain accurate documentation including but not limited to, fuel reports, safety reports and hours of service Maintain/clean equipment and conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs as required Operate specialized equipment, including winter equipment, as trained and as required Understanding the performance requirements of the contract, route map and sand/salt application rate etc. Carry out road maintenance activities, facility maintenance and yard maintenance as required What You'll Bring Valid DZ or AZ license with a clean driver's abstract and ability to drive manual transmission Previous experience in winter operations, considered an asset Ability to operate winter combination units Available to respond to call-in times within thirty minutes Ability to remain flexible with shift schedules, and extended hours (evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays) Have mechanical knowledge and ability to perform minor repairs as required Appreciation for a high level of efficient and quality work Effective communication (written and verbal) Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions Willingness to learn and appreciate company values - Safety, Quality, and Integrity so we can continue “Building Greatness” Miller is proud to provide this unique career opportunity, we offer continuous learning, opportunity for growth, and a competitive compensation package.
