This is a new permanent role and is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company where you can add your own stamp and grow the role longer term. You will play a key role in ensuring that the company complies with all laws and regulations and provide legal advice as needed. This exciting role will suit a dynamic, ambitious individual who is ready to step in to a senior level, supporting boards and Directors. Essential Skills/Experience: Ambitious, an excellent communicator and one who prefers working in the same way as the client. Leading from the front and being hands on in their approach. A strong legal background, particularly in a large private or public firm Company secretarial experience A track record of building a strong internal legal and Co Sec function and delivering high quality legal input. Team management and exposure to Boards/Committees. Debt and equity transaction and reporting exposure. Other desired characteristics: Experience of working in an FCA regulated environment. Knowledge of FCA rules and procedures, particularly from the Conduct of Business handbook Experience of working with private equity firms and public debt markets would also be useful. Core Responsibilities: Presenting strategic and practical legal advice to company Directors, Board Members and business unit heads as required in connection with company matters.
