Job Summary Reporting to the Manager, Customer Success, the Senior Lead, Advanced Process Control is responsible for developing capabilities, people and otherwise, to support implementation and maintenance of our Advanced Process Control across our Teck Coal operations. This is a significant role to support our operations in their efforts to optimize their processes through a program of sensor and control system renewal, Advanced Process Control and Advanced Analytics. To be successful, we are looking for someone with strong interpersonal and influencing skills, who can connect with various departments across the business. In addition, the successful candidate will bring deep technical experience and leadership that allows you to guide development of capabilities in a structured way, so that ultimately all efforts result in long term business value. This role is an outstanding opportunity to help us become a leader in processing innovation. You will have the chance to work with senior leaders across our company, as well as professionals in our corporate and operations groups. Experience in this role will set you up for success for future opportunities in a growing technology focused industry. This position will initially have 1 direct report: Advisor, Process Automation. Responsibilities Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures In collaboration with Teck Coal’s operations, business units, and other teams, identify and evaluate opportunities for advanced process control, and subsequently facilitate creation of long term implementation roadmaps Act as the Teck Coal domain expert in Advanced Process Control, support and develop operational Process Control teams to deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, yield, reduction of reagents and improvements in sustainability and safety Ensure Process Control teams have sufficient capability, capacity and tooling to sustain reliable Advanced.
