The outside sales representative should understand Supply Chain Concepts and have the ability to add Value to both the customer and Varsteel. Key Responsibilities: • Will report to Sales Manager and Regional Manager • Ability to react rapidly in our fast-moving environment• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and prospects• Keep up-to-date information of market changes• Act as liaison between customers and our various departments such as, Inside Sales, Credit, Production, Operations, Shipping, Purchasing, etc• Maintain customers and adjust to company and/or market conditions• Arrange tours and introduce customers to our team and facility • Conduct regular meetings with customers and inside sales to ensure all Varsteel sales requirements and Quality Assurances are being met• File reports as required (monthly forecast, territory updates, lost business, etc. )• All other duties as assigned Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field is preferred• Experience in developing new businesses through prospecting and cold calling• Some overnight travel will be required • 2-3 years of relatable industry experience is an asset• Previous Inside/outside sales experience is an asset• Knowledge of the steel industry and product lines is an asset•.
