As a Co-op Legal Assistant, you will provide essential administrative and research support to the legal team within a law firm, corporate legal department, or governmental organization. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting attorneys and paralegals with various tasks related to case management, legal research, document preparation, and client communications. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals pursuing a career in law to gain practical experience and contribute to the efficient functioning of the legal team. WHAT WILL YOU DO? Legal Research: Conduct legal research using online databases, libraries, and other resources to gather relevant case law, statutes, and regulations. Document Preparation: Assist in drafting and formatting legal documents, including contracts, briefs, memos, pleadings, and correspondence.
