General Accountabilities The Compensation Specialist will provide support with the delivery of compensation programs and processes, salary administration, annual incentive recommendations and annual compensation market review. Specific Accountabilities: Support the design of the compensation philosophy related to the annual salary review, annual incentive programs, promotion recommendation processes for management and non-represented employees Plan and execute annual merit, incentive and other annual compensation program Lead regular salary survey and benchmarking market review process Support the development of material for the Board of Director by creating analysis, presenting findings, making strategic recommendations, developing resources Provide advice and guidance on management compensation offer recommendations Provide ad-hoc compensation analytics Support the compensation processes for unionized employees Conduct research on compensation practices and policies Essential Knowledge: Selection Criteria: Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business or Human Resources or related fields A minimum of 4 – 6 years’ related human resources with compensation and incentive program experience Experience with job evaluation and review in a unionized setting Demonstrated knowledge of compensation planning, market benchmarking surveys, pay equity, compensation in a unionized environment, executive.
