We're recruiting for a Caretaker to join our friendly team who will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and well: presented environment for our Thurrock Homelessness Service. The service has two main hostels, and you will be required to work between the two sites, there is a ten: minute walking distance between them. We house homeless customers who come from a wide range of backgrounds and complex needs. Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, open manner are essential for success in this role. Read more about Thurrock Homelessness on our website The role of Caretaker will include: : Carrying out weekly Health and Safety checks and risk backssments, adhering to relevant regulations and guidelines: Fulfilling general caretaking duties, including basic repairs, cleaning, landscaping and grounds maintenance duties: Maintaining an adequate supply of tools and equipment and restocking as necessary, to enable the effective delivery of services: Completing accurate daily work records and providing timely updates: Identifying potential maintenance issues and reporting these in a timely manner, to maintain a safe environment: Travel is a requirement of the role therefore a full valid driving licence is essential Skills and experiences: : Previous.
