Job Title: Long haul truck driver JOB LOCATION: Edmonton, ABT6L 3M3 Vacancies:4 Job start date: As soon as possible Wage: $29.00 / hour Hours:40 to 50 hours/week Marketed to: Indigenous people, Newcomers to Canada, Visible minorities Terms of employment: Day, Early Morning, Evening, Morning, Night, Weekend Job requirements: Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: Experience an asset Responsibilities: Tasks: - Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy- Load and unload goods- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment- Perform emergency roadside repairs- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo Credentials: Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: - Air Brakes Endorsement- Driver's License (Class 1 or A) Additional information: - Transportation/travel information: - Valid driver's licence- Willing to travel cross-border- Willing to travel for extended periods- Willing to travel internationally Work conditions and physical capabilities: - Attention to detail- Handling heavy loads- Physically demanding- Repetitive tasks- Sitting Personal suitability: - Flexibility- Organized- Reliability- Team player How to apply: By email: xyz X@.
