The candidate must be a team player who is friendly, patient, and enthusiastic with clients and their pets and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Company Business Name: 48th Avenue Animal Hospital Business Address: 5020, 48 Avenue, Delta, BC, V4K 1V8Position: Veterinary Technician Salary: $22.00 per hour Number of positions: 1Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible Work Location: 5020, 48 Avenue, Delta, BC, V4K 1V8 Job responsibilities • Assist veterinarian with animals before, during and following surgery. • Prepare and administer medication as per veterinarian’s instructions. • Perform laboratory tests to help in diagnosis of animal health problems and possible treatment. • Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing ultrasound, treatment, and surgery. • Communicate with clients about animal care and discuss discharge instructions. • Maintain animal records by documenting animal conditions, reactions, and changes, updating database. • Perform routine animal dental procedures and assist veterinarians with animal dentistry. • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. • Maintain and support a collaborative work.
