You will support the Councils' Place Shaping Team in the preparation and implementation of Local and Neighbourhood Plans through the collection, interpretation and analysis of data to backss the success of the Councils' planning policies and the progress of development proposals across South Norfolk and Broadland. What you could be part of. Working for South Norfolk Council in collaboration with Broadland Council will enable you to be at the forefront of an exciting time working for two high performing organisations who are proud to deliver high-quality, customer focussed services with staff who continually challenge themselves to develop new and innovative ways to improve services that make a real difference to people's lives. What you'll be doing. Undertaking research and fact-finding to understand if we've met our targets for housing and employment growth to ensure future prosperity of the communities we serve Monitoring the policies of the Local Plan, helping to inform future plan making and decisions on planning applications. Responsible for developing, producing, interpreting and presenting planning policy monitoring information Contributing to the Norfolk-wide monitoring officers' group Maintaining the Councils' monitoring systems for the recording of and provision of statistical data Updating the land availability records, including interacting with the Council's GIS planning system and producing reports on your findings.
