Job Title: Senior Planner Location: Plymouth Salary: Attractive salary + Strong benefits package Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a Multidisciplinary for the hire of Town Planner. Duties: The Town Planner role provides a great opportunity to be part of an established, friendly team in Plymouth, supporting projects across the South: West and UK. Amongst a range of duties, you will devise and execute planning application strategies, co: ordinate and submit planning applications and associated submissions, produce policy appraisals and client advice across a range of sectors. You will also assist experienced members of the team and work alongside architects and design professionals in an environment which provides opportunities to shape your career. Candidate Requirements: Have a degree in a town planning discipline, a post graduate qualification and will ideally hold chartered membership of the RTPI. As a minimum you should be working towards chartered membership. Have at relevant experience in planning in either local authority or the private sector. Be able to prioritise and manage workloads whilst working flexibly to meet both the commercial and contractual needs of the business. Have experience of fronting and managing projects and clients. Be able to work independently across a wide area of planning sectors, working with landowners, developers, businesses and private homeowners. Hold a demonstrable level of planning knowledge and understanding and application of current and emerging planning legislation. Be ambitious and enthusiastic to enhance the reputation of the planning service for innovation, quality and timeliness of delivery. Interested?
