The City of Penticton's Recreation Department is in search of a highly motivated and energetic individual for the permanent position of Recreation Coordinator - Events & Film. The Recreation Department promotes and contributes to a healthy community and enhances the quality of life for Penticton residents and visitors through planning, management and delivery of recreation, sports events and active living opportunities. Reporting to the Sport & Event Supervisor, the Recreation Coordinator - Events & Film's role supports the City's strategic direction in Sport and Event Tourism and Film. The Events & Film Coordinator is responsible for bookings and coordination of park rentals, events and film activities at various outdoor City spaces Key Responsibilities: Support the Sport & Event Supervisor in the successful implementation of events and film programs within the City of Penticton. Process event applications, identify and coordinate required permits, and create, adapt, and process event and film rental contracts using Perfect MIND software. Respond to event booking inquiries and provide quotes, information and availability as necessary. Inquiries include private bookings (weddings, celebrations, etc. ), minor and major events (festivals, sports events, fundraisers, etc. ), film activities, and other park uses. Identify event-related conflicts and work proactively towards solutions. Coordinate supplies, equipment, services, and facilities required for events and film activities that involve City bookings and resources.
