We have a permanent position in our Bristol studio for a Senior Urban Designer to join our talented team of Landscape Architects. We are seeking applications from qualified landscape architects that are looking to develop their professional and technical skills whilst contributing to an exciting programme of high-quality work, including the design of the public realm for the Cardiff University Innovation Campus working alongside Architects HOK and Hawkins Brown. About you You will ideally have a specific qualification in urban design, although applicants who are qualified in urban planning, architecture or landscape architecture may also be considered, subject to being able to demonstrate strong urban design skills. You will have excellent creative design skills, good relevant experience and a high level of IT proficiency and proven ability of working in CAD. Passionate about Landscape Architecture, you will be keen to develop your personal and professional skills in a supportive environment. Key aspects of the role demonstrate a collaborative team-working style and enjoy working to tight deadlines an ability to provide leadership and mentoring to our team, and to projects at different scales and complexities be a designer with strong visual and written communication skills working in the Landscape team, you will be confident in taking responsibility for leading the landscape input on projects along with delegating and overseeing the work of the less experienced team members Essential Requirements A minimum of 5 years’ post chartership experience is expected, to have the skills and knowledge required to undertake this role successfully working closely with architects, landscape architects, town planners and other consultants who work with BDP to deliver our commissions for both public and private sector clients The company offers a great opportunity for your personal development with exposure to the full range of our skills and expertise, as well.
