Reporting to the Event Operations Manager, the Events Team Member assists with the Events operations throughout the hotel, including preparation, set up, and de-rig. This role will also include liaising with organizers/Guests about the event and fulfilling their needs to the best of your ability, also taking into consideration the Kimpton & IHG values. You will also be expected to transfer the skills learned across the other food and beverage departments when support is needed. To succeed as our Events Team Member, you will need: Good communication skills- be able to hold a conversation with the team as well as guests/clients Look smart – wear your uniform with pride Be able to work as part of a team- and help others Hospitality experience preferred Have flexible availability- weekends as well as earlies and late nights. Understand that some shifts will be longer than others. Basic understanding of the English language Punctuality Have basic time management skills To be able to work to a deadline/time frame Be prepared to move furniture Be prepared for appropriate training both practical and interactive To be able to follow Clear and Specific instructions To be able to use initiative and think on your feet Happy attitude and willingness to work, learn and improve Happy to give and receive constructive feedback from clients.
