Firmware Engineer : Fareham : Up to GBP55,000/year + Benefits There is now an exciting new opportunity to join our client in Fareham as a Firmware Engineer. You will be joining a global specialist in touch technology and will be responsible for developing bespoke hardware and firmware for touch, hover, force and haptic silicon devices. Key responsibilities: Assist the development of new features to meet market requirements in embedded on RISC: V based platforms. Support customers during integration or pre: sales to ensure a high: quality solution as required by automotive and industrial customers. Writing C code to implement suitable algorithms and new features. Creating rest environments to simplify and automate the process of evaluating the performance of the algorithms for the while chip level solution. Requirements: A degree in Electronics or Physics (or equivalent in a relevant discipline). Graduates will also be considered. Hands: on experience of embedded C coding. Hands: on experience of software unit testing. Hands: on experience creating test environments to evaluate functional performance. Familiarity with code versioning systems such as Git and SVN.
