Location: Cambridgeshire Salary: £29,439 TO £42,503 p. a. plus benefits package This is a career-graded post and the starting salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience. Legal Assistant / Senior Legal Assistant - This Role: East Cambridgeshire District Council is an ambitious and forward-looking Council with a number of exciting projects in the pipeline. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with initiative, a proactive approach to problem solving and a real commitment to providing good quality legal services. Our cases cover a diverse range of law, including public law, planning, property, litigation, contract work and just about anything else! You will carry your own case load and have the opportunity to really expand your legal expertise within a small in-house legal team. The grade for the Legal Assistant post ranges from £29,439 - £33,820 p. a. The grade for the Senior Legal Assistant post ranges from £37,261 - £42,503 p. a. Legal Assistant / Senior Legal Assistant - You: The Legal Assistant candidate must be an Associate /Graduate Member of Chartered Institute of Legal Executives/Law Degree or equivalent, or have successfully passed the Legal Practice Course and have relevant legal knowledge and previous legal experience. The Senior Legal Assistant candidate must be a qualified Solicitor or Fellow of Chartered Institute of Legal Executives with previous legal experience and relevant legal knowledge. Previous local government experience would be desirable for both posts, although not essential.
