JOB DESCRIPTIONJOB TITLE: Page and Package Designer LOCATION: Mississauga, ONREPORTS TO: Director of Operations/VP of Operations or Prepress Systems Manager EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-Time, permanent, 40 hours a week. STARTING DATE: ASAP WAGE: 31.00 CAD/Hour SUMMARY OF POSITIONThe Page and Package Designer speaks with clients to determine the best way to transform their ideas into reality. The designer prepares layouts and designs for packages and prints them with the assistance of e PAC’s many teams. The designer handles the packaging, from an idea in your mind until you can hold it. ESSENTIAL DUTIES ● Supervise other designers and technicians in the process. ● Determine operational procedures and policies of the team. ● Prepare timeline and budget for completion from intake to product delivery. ● Develop drafts, mockups, sketches, proofs, 3d drawings, and samples for printing. ● Verify best visual design for a proposed job. ● Communicate with clients and prepare layouts based on their requirements and needs. ● Generates press-ready files for print and adjust as needed. ● Work with cross-disciplinary teams in different departments to produce high-quality printing tasks. ● Delegate tasks.
