Edmonton, ABT6T 2L3Salary: 28.85 hourly 35 to 40 hours per Week Terms of employment: Permanent employment; Full time Day, Evening, Morning Start date: Starts as soon as possiblevacancies: 2 vacancies Overview Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: Experience an asset Responsibilities Tasks: Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy Load and unload goods Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment Perform brake adjustments Perform emergency roadside repairs Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle Perform preventive maintenance Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement Driver's License (Class 1 or A) Experience and specialization Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook Additional information" Security and safety Driving record check (abstract) Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel cross-border.
