Position Summary The Automatic Door Technician is responsible for executing automatic pedestrian entrances system service calls and installations in accordance with relevant codes and regulations. Key responsibilities include staying current on product technical knowledge and able to execute at high quality. Essential Functions Address service requests by traveling to client sites to repair, configure, clean, lubricate, and/or replace required components. Make recommendations for repair or replacement of automatic door components or entire units, under consultation with Senior Automatic Door Technicians. Tend to pedestrian entrance needs with a sense of urgency. Communicate parts used, time on site, product functionality and travel through mobile software. Maintain a high level of workmanship, ensuring the quality of installation or repair meets client expectations. Minimize rework and repeat service related issues. Installation of automatic doors, automatic door operators and associated glass. Liaise with the project team to best deliver on client expectations and communicate unforeseen challenges. Maintain inventory accuracy on assigned service vehicle and maintain knowledge, understanding and identification of all parts. Tend to after-hour service requests and planned overnight installations on a rotational on-call schedule. Maintain safe work practices and abide by all NABCO safety procedures.
