Are you looking for a new challenge Do you have the skills and knowledge to lead a team of dedicated and passionate legal professionals You could be an experienced Private Client Solicitor with experience in managing complex and high-value estates and trusts or a current head of department looking to take on a new challenge. As the Head of Department, you will be responsible for handling your own diverse caseload including advising on all aspects of trusts, drafting administration and tax issues alongside the following: - Providing technical guidance and supervision to your team members, ensuring they deliver high-quality and client-focused service. - Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, promoting the firm's services and increasing private client case intake. - Collaborating with management to devise and execute business strategies to grow the Wills Trusts & Probate team and revenue streams. - Reporting on key performance indicators, such as case holdings, turnover, sources of work, income, billing, complaints and resolutions. - Conducting legal and best practice training for the team and creating and updating template letters and documents to support them. - Assisting with departmental appraisals. Ideally the successful candidate will possess: - A minimum of 5 years PQE in Private Client law, with proven experience in handling complex and high-value estates and trusts. - A STEP qualification or working towards one. - Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. - A strong work ethic, attention to detail and organisational skills. - A commitment to providing exceptional service to clients and colleagues.
