An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Consultant Psychologist to work in an exceptional mental hospital based in the Darlington, County Durham. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers. This hospital provides individualised treatment and care for people with mental health needs of adult working age and who present with complex and challenging behaviours, in a safe and supportive environment To be considered for this position you must hold a Chartered Status with the BPS and Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with HCPC As a Consultant Psychologist your key responsibilities include: Identify and deliver evidence based backssments, formulations and treatment Contributing to the effective risk management and recovery of the patients Promoting and developing psychological services Working effectively and supportively within teams, inspiring and promoting effective change Working alongside patients detained under the Mental Health Act, who present with a range of complex needs, including mental illness, personality disorders, cognitive deficits, self harming behaviours and offending histories The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role: Excellent clinical and communication skills Track record of successful working with colleagues from other professions within a psychiatric setting Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience working in secure or locked rehabilitation settinginteractionperience of working within an acute or PICU service will be advantageous but not essential The successful Consultant Psychologist will receive an excellent annual salary up to £65,000 per annum.
