Nikko Sushi provides top quality Japanese food such as sushi and ramen noodles in the city of Brooks, Alberta, serving local residents and also visitors from surrounding areas. We are inviting dedicated individual to join us if you enjoy working in a welcoming community. Major Responsibilities• Prepares and cooks complete Japanese dishes on menu including sushi, bento, tempura, sashimi and ramen noodles. • Suggests adaptions to menu and develops recipes based on seasonal ingredients inventory and stock. • Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products for daily operations and special occasions. • Monitors product freshness and handles raw food professionally for dishes • Ensures kitchen, all food preparation areas and food storage areas in compliance with company standards• Follows standard plate presentation and ensures prompt service in rush hours• Supervise other kitchen workers• Perform other duties as assigned by the Owner Job Requirements• Completed high school education, formal culinary training preferred• 1 - 2 years of proven experience in kitchen preparation and cooking. Working knowledge in Japanese cuisine will be an advantage • Passionate and attentive to details in food production• Able to communicate in English and lift up to 50 lbs• Flexible to work in shifts, weekends and holidays Terms of Employment• Full time, permanent• 35 - 44 working hours / week• Hourly rate: $17 - $20 (negotiable)• Vacation pay How to Apply Interested individuals please send full resume by email to xyz X@.
