Suffolk County Council are looking to recruit flexible, highly motivated, and enthusiastic Social Workers to join our Forest Heath Social Care Team based in Ipswich. You will join us on a full time or part time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will earn a competitive salary of £32,909 - £42,380 per annum (pro rata for part time), plus retention payment of up to £4,000 per year (pro rata for part time). About the Social Worker role: You would be expected to manage a diverse caseload, working with children from pre-birth to 18 years, from the point of initial referral. This would include undertaking Social Work backssments, working with children and families under Child in Need and Child Protection Planning, progressing matters within the Court arena, including both public and private law proceedings. As part of a team comprising of workers with an array of skills and expertise, you will be able to develop your social work practice and experience within a supportive team culture. With the opportunity to expand your skill set and build on specific areas of interest. Post 1: Children's Social Workers: £32,909 - £36,298 per annum, plus £4,000 annual retention payment (pro rata for part time)Post 2: Senior Social Workers: £37,000 - £42,380 per annum, plus £3,500 annual retention payment (pro rata for part time)What we're looking for in our Social Worker: You will need a relevant social work qualification and Social Work England registration. The team The team covers the more rural areas within the west of the county, including Newmarket, Mildenhall, Brandon and the surrounding areas. This includes Lakenheath and Mildenhall United States Airforce, providing a very unique opportunity to develop skills and build relationships with our American colleagues, together with knowledge and understanding of the differing.
